Grant Schnarr

For more than four decades, he has worked in ministry, men’s work, and spiritual formation—helping individuals and communities navigate life’s deepest questions with honesty, hope, and compassion.

Grant served in several pastoral capacities, including planting two churches, served for thirteen years as Director of Evangelism for the worldwide New Church and has taught religion, philosophy, spirituality, and the teachings of Emanuel Swedenborg at Bryn Athyn College. His work draws from theology, biblical interpretation, pastoral counseling, recovery principles, and decades of mentoring and group facilitation.

He was among the early pioneers in bringing twelve-step spirituality into broader spiritual growth work, developing programs devoted to healing, transformation, men’s work, and emotional maturity long before such conversations became mainstream. These efforts eventually helped inspire organizations and retreats including SWET (Spiritual Warfare Effectiveness Training), devoted to spiritual growth and personal transformation.

Grant is the author of numerous books on spirituality and inner growth, including The Art of Spiritual Warfare, published internationally in multiple languages, and You Can Believe!, a bestselling introduction to Swedenborgian thought.

Whether through books, teaching, mentoring, workshops, or pastoral work, Grant’s focus remains the same: helping people move toward healing, meaning, spiritual depth, and a more wholehearted life.

“I ask you to adventure with me, to leave the old ways behind, and to search for a new and promised way of life, what many call "the road to recovery" and what the Israelites called the "return to the promised land."
